U.S. Department of Agriculture Awards Leidos Prime Contract for Shared ServicesRESTON, Va., Sept. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), a FORTUNE 500® science and technology leader, was awarded a prime contract by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to provide shared services in support of business solutions for the USDA National Finance Center (NFC). The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract has a five-year period of performance and an approximate total value of $499 million for all awardees. Leidos is one of nine awardees eligible to compete for work under the contract. Work will be performed primarily in New Orleans, La., Denver, Colo., St. Louis, Mo., and Washington, D.C. The NFC assists federal and civil agencies in achieving cost-effective, standardized, and interoperable solutions by providing functionality support to strategic human resources requirements. Under the contract, Leidos will support the USDA with business solutions including financial management services, human resources, information technology services, external systems development, and personnel and pay.
