Berman Tabacco Investigates Equifax, Inc. For Possible Security Law Violations

The law firm of Berman Tabacco (www.bermantabacco.com) is investigating possible securities law violations involving Equifax, Inc. (NYSE: EFX) ("Equifax" or the "Company"), one of the largest consumer credit reporting agencies in the United States.

On September 7, 2017, Equifax announced a "cybersecurity incident potentially impacting approximately 143 million U.S. consumers." Further, the Company disclosed that "the information accessed primarily includes names, ocial Security numbers, birth dates, addresses and, in some instances, driver's license numbers." The Company's share price fell significantly on September 8, 2017.

Also of note, Bloomberg (News - Alert) has reported that just days after the security breach was discovered, three of the Company's senior executives sold almost $1.8 million worth of Equifax shares.

Berman Tabacco's investigation seeks to determine, among other things, whether Equifax or its officers and/or directors have violated the federal securities laws.
