ANSI Releases Agenda for Joint Member Forum Meeting during World Standards Week 2017NEW YORK, Sept. 5, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has released a preliminary agenda for its Joint Member Forum (JMF) October 19, 2017, in Washington, DC. With the theme Future Perfect, the JMF will explore emerging areas of technology and expert panelists will address how standards and conformance will serve a substantial role in the revitalization of business and industry in years to come. The day's lineup will include ANSI's Annual Business Meeting luncheon and will be held during World Standards Week (WSW), a series of meetings and celebrations hosted annually by the Institute, coordinator of the U.S. voluntary standardization system. All ANSI members and interested stakeholders from government, industry, business, consumer groups, and academia are encouraged to attend and share their perspectives and expertise on integral industry news and updates that influence the standardization communities domestically and globally. The Institute's president and CEO and Board chair will present updates on ANSI's recent activities, accomplishments, and strategic direction during the Annual Business Meeting luncheon. The JMF meeting and Annual Business Meeting luncheon will be held at the FHI Conference Center, Washington, DC. The event will take place on Thursday, October 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., including lunch. Registration is required by October 11, 2017, and is available via the ANSI WSW web page. World Standards Week, to be held this year on October 16-20, 2017, is an annual event where members of the standards and conformity assessment community come together in the spirit of cooperation and collaboration.
