Inova Personalized Health Accelerator Accepting New Ventures for Accelerator Portfolio

FAIRFAX, Va., Sept. 5, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/-- The Inova Personalized Health Accelerator (IPHA) announced today it is officially accepting business plan applications from early stage healthcare technology firms with a focus on personalized health. Companies interested in consideration are encouraged to apply via the IPHA web site (www.inovapha.org).

IPHA redefines the concept of early stage accelerators by helping its companies develop and execute plans of action that achieve significant milestones in value creation, risk mitigation and capital formation. The IPHA approach includes:

• A team of successful, entrepreneurial C-Suite executives that extend the existing management team to help the company execute its strategy and rapidly increase value.
• A $75,000 cash investment with C-Suite program services valued at $125,000 in return for a 10% equity position in the next funding round.
• A matching investment of up to $250,000 when the company meets all milestones and secures funding from a qualified investor(s) during the program, or up to 12 months after graduation from the IPHA program.
• Privileged access to the Inova Health System and extended family of health systems for potential product validation, early adoption, and future investment.

IPHA has a year-round, rolling application process, and will focus on a maximum of 6 companies at any time, in order to provide the individual attention that eac company requires.

Companies that qualify are pre-series A and/or seed stage companies with working prototypes of their technology, who are seeking venture investment for product development and commercialization.  The types of companies being sought include medical devices, diagnostics, digital health, sensor technologies, A.I./machine learning, genomics & precision medicine, and software/analytics. The technology for consideration may involve FDA 510(k) class I, II, or de novo regulatory pathways.
