Innovators to Share How Disruptive Technologies Will Transform Society at 2017 Women in STEM Conference


SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The 4th Annual Global Women in STEM Conference (WiSTEM) announces a 2017 conference track dedicated to exploring the impact emerging technologies will have on the future of women and society. The 2017 WiSTEM conference will take place September 11-12 at the Marriott Marquis in San Francisco.

Plenaries for the Disruptive Technology track include Yvonne Wassenaar, CEO at Airware, speaking on the scale, speed and impact of innovation, and Tony Perkins, Founder of Alchemist.io, sharing the next era of human-machine partnerships.

Clay Bavor, Vice President of Google VR, will share emerging AR and VR capabilities that transport users to new experiences and let them interact with digital information in their environment.

Attendees will hear quality panel discussion including Rishi Vaish of IBM Watson, Lilian Rincon of Google Assistant, Johnathon Cervelli of Splunk, Sangeeta Chakraborty of Ayasdi and Sridhar Iyengar of Elemental Machines, who will explore a future transformed by technology.

A fiery discussion of the coming reality of robotics and AI will take placeamong panelists My Tran of ADVR, Ashish Aggarwal of Grishin Robotics Ventures, Sowmiya Chocka Narayanan of Lily, Gary Martz of Intel, Jocelyn Goldfein of Zetta Venture Partners and Rachel Sibley of Leap Motion; all moderated by VRScout's Malia Probst.



Many disruptive innovations demand a new generation of scalability in servers, GPU processing and data transmits. Vikram Kumar of Salesforce, Jennifer Fraser of Twitter, Dianne Marsh of Netflix and Mihir Jobalia of KPMG will analyze how enterprise applications are driving innovation in underlying technology.
