Insight School of Indiana Set to Kick-Off 2017-2018 School Year


Insight School of Indiana (ISIN) will kick off its 2017-18 academic year on Aug. 21st. Through live online learning sessions and support from experienced teachers and counselors, ISIN provides students in grades 7-12 with a personalized approach to learning, to support students of every ability level.

Built on the understanding that many students face unique challenges, ISIN provides a foundation of support for students and families through its Student Success Program. This includes a Social and Emotional Learning program to helping students build self-confidence and interpersonal skills.

"Students enroll at ISIN for a variety of reasons," says Head of School Byron Ernest. "Thanks to the flexibility of online learning, we can support their unique needs and set them up for future success."

Dedicated teachers craft personalized learning plans for each student, and communicate with students and parents via email, phone, and one-on-one online meetings.

ISIN offers multiple versions of its courses, to teach students at a variety of levels. Built-in assessments measure mastery of content throughout the curriculum, and there are additional support resources available for English-language learners.

To ensure students stay on track, ISIN also deploys a Family Academic Support Team (FAST (News - Alert)) of licensed social workers and other school personnel. FAST offers integrated support to families, teachers and students, with the goal to improve reention, attendance and academic outcomes. Along with community partners, FAST aims to prevent and eliminate the barriers that leave students vulnerable to falling behind, before needs arise.
