Grant Thornton names George Serafin national managing principal of Health Care and Life Sciences practice


Grant Thornton (News - Alert) LLP has named George Serafin national managing principal of the firm's Health Care and Life Sciences industry practice. In addition to his new national leadership role overseeing the delivery of audit, tax and consulting services within this industry group, he continues to lead Grant Thornton's Advisory Services' Health Care and Life Sciences practice. He succeeds Anne McGeorge, who led Grant Thornton's Health Care industry practice since 2006.

Serafin has more than 30 years of experience in the health care and life sciences industries, spanning research and development, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality assurance, regulatory compliance and IT. He works with clients globally to develop and execute business and risk management strategies that promote innovation and growth, operatonal efficiency and process excellence, and sustained regulatory compliance.

He received a master's degree in technology management and a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
