Exciting Funding Opportunity for STEM Educators!


Attention educators: You might be surprised to learn just how easy it can be to enhance and expand your Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) curriculum with a STEM Improvement Grant from the Toshiba (News - Alert) America Foundation (TAF). It's a terrific way to start your schools year with a fun and exciting STEM project that you may have wanted to do for years, but just didn't quite have the budget! Best of all, TAF will help you with the process, including tips on how to apply and much more.

TAF makes more than $400,000 in grant monies for teachers available each school year, and the program has already awarded educators more than $12 million since inception. Grants are given to teachers to help them design all kinds of STEM projects in order to make their own classrooms exciting places to learn.

How to Apply for a TAF Grant?

The TAF STEM Grant program is very easy to access for STEM subject teachers. You can find out all about the program, and apply for a grant directly online by visiting www.toshiba.com/af. A TAF STEM Grant is a great way to get a STEM project off the ground that you've been wanting to do but just haven't had the time or resources to do.



Deadlines and Application Process

  • Grant applications up to $1,000 for Grades K-5 are accepted once a year on October 1st
  • Grant applications up to $5,000 for Grades 6 thru 12 are accepted four times per year on March 1st, June 1st, September 1st, and December 1st
  • Grant applications over $5,000 for Grades 6 thru 12 are accepted two times per year on May 1st and November 1st
