Optanix Releases Mobile App for iOS and Android


NEW YORK, Aug. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Optanix, the leader in predictable IT infrastructure service delivery, today announced the release of a mobile app for the Optanix Platform.  Available for iOS and Android smart devices, the app harnesses the power of the Optanix Platform and the new capabilities of release 5.4, which became generally available today.  In addition to the new mobile app, release 5.4 adds significant performance and usability enhancements, security updates and new features to the Optanix Platform.

Optanix Mobile App

The mobile app brings the strong management capabilities of the Optanix Platform to smart devices, providing untethered, on-the-go visibility into IT service levels and incidents in a safe and secure environment.  Users and administrators can conveniently open, update, monitor and search cases, as well as receive notifications, just as desktop users do.  The app features key functions of the Optanix Platform, including the Case List, ncident Dashboard, Device List and Status Table.  Other features of the app include voice recognition and text to speech capabilities to support hands-free usage.

The mobile app enables the following:

  • More timely response and management of issues – thereby reducing Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and business impact
  • Increased visibility to the status of environments supported by Optanix ITMaaS, and the efforts that the Optanix Support Center is taking to maintain the network

Release 5.4 provides enhancements that enable user and administrator efficiency.  Highlights include:

  • Support for the Optanix Mobile App
  • A redesign of the platform's performance management capabilities for improved efficiency and expanded scalability
  • A GUI-based tool that ingests Cisco Unified Contact Center ICM scripts, and makes them available for users to view and navigate
  • An operating system upgrade that enables new security features and functionality
