Six-year-old Reagan Cornwall was joined by her sister Ruby and her parents Morgan and Craig when UnitedHealthcare executive Pam Gold and Pro Cycling Team member Adrian Hegyvary surprised her with a brand-new bike, helmet, UHC Pro Cycling team jersey and an opportunity to participate in the cycling event by riding along in the official pace car (Photo: Chad Case Photography).

UnitedHealthcare's Pro Cycling Team announced Reagan as the honoree during a pre-race celebration last night. As "Pro Cyclist for the Day," she was awarded pro cycling gear, including a new bike, helmet and an autographed pro cycling team jersey. She also participated in the pre-race athlete call-ups and rode in the official pace car at the beginning of the race, followed by an on-stage interview with the race announcer.

The surprise announcement was made just before the race began at a pre-race celebration at 10 Barrel Brewery. The recipient, along with her parents and siblings, are active cyclists and participated in the Downtown Boise Criterium.
