Rocket Software Delivers Insight on Modernization Initiatives
WALTHAM, Mass., July 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Rocket Software, a global technology provider specializing in modernization and optimization, and Gatepoint Research today announced the results of an extensive survey focused on strategies for modernizing character-based/green screen applications. The findings capture executive insights describing ways in which companies are integrating and extending legacy solutions to deliver value in their organizations. The survey revealed that the primary motivating factor for modernization initiatives was to provide intuitive and platform-agnostic access to existing enterprise systems in which many companies have invested millions and even billions of dollars.
Additional highlights included:
- 66% of participants said that better application integration would enhance employee productivity
- 47% pointed to streamlining and reducing the cost of training and onboarding initiatives as the motivator for its modernization initiatives
- 60% of survey respondents said extending enterprise systems with a more current look/feel would improve the overall user experience for customers and partners
- 37% believed modernization would accelerate time to market for new products
- Anothe 22% of executives in the survey stated that extending host-based systems had the potential to increase employee retention and attract top talent.
