World Wide Technology's Advanced Technology Center Adds Latest Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processor for Reimagining IT Architectures


World Wide Technology (WWT), a leading integrator that provides innovative technology and supply chain solutions to large public and private organizations, today announced it has included the new Intel (News - Alert)® Xeon® Scalable processors into the WWT Advanced Technology Center (ATC) based off an early release. This addition gives WWT's customers an opportunity to test, and roll out data center solutions powered by the new processor immediately.

Scott Miller, senior director of data center at World Wide Technology (News - Alert) said: "We received an early release of servers built on the brand-new Intel Xeon Scalable processors within our ATC lab to begin testing, which has allowed our engineers to get hands-on experience and unlock the advantages of Intel's latest technologies."

David Ownby, practice manager for service provider slutions architecture at World Wide Technology, said: "We believe that this new platform offers tremendous potential, especially for Network Function Virtualization (NFV) applications where the power and scalability of the Intel Xeon Scalable platform provide an alternative to traditional dedicated hardware appliances."
