General Keith B. Alexander, Former Director of the NSA, to Keynote CyberConnect 2017

Centrify, the leader in securing hybrid enterprises through the power of identity services, today announced that General (Ret.) Keith B. Alexander, former director of the National Security Agency (News - Alert) (NSA), chief of the Central Security Service (CSS) and commander of the U.S. Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM), will present the keynote at CyberConnect this fall. Chaired and underwritten by Centrify, CyberConnect is a forum for technology leaders and business executives who understand that managing risk and protecting the cyber front line go hand-in-hand. The event will take place on Monday, November 6th and Tuesday, November 7th at the Grand Hyatt in New York, and will feature curriculum produced and developed by the Institute for Critical Infrastructure Technology™ (ICIT).

Defending corporate assets from cyber adversaries has quickly emerged as an urgent business requirement in boardrooms around the globe. With one wrong click, a malicious or non-malicious actor can cost an organization millions of dollars in tangible losses and millions more in lost consumer confidence and brand integrity. In his keynote, focusing on Securing a Nation Amid Change: A Roadmap to Freedom, General Alexander will examine such topics as the vulnerability of critical infrastructure; the dependence of the economy on the Internet's smooth functioning; and the imperativeness for the private sector to assume its portion of the responsibility for protecting the infrastructure that connects to the Internet. He will also articulate a road map for what is likely to be the strategic challenge for the next several decades: how we protect our increasingly networked world in a way that preserves freedom and liberty.

"CyberConnect 2017 is the latest example of Centrify and ICIT leading from the trenches and arming organizations with the knowledge necessary to defend against today's hyper evolving adversary," said Parham Eftekhari, Co-Founder & Sr. Fellow, the Institute for Critical Infrastructure Technology (ICIT). "As an ICIT Fellow Program member, Centrify has demonstrated its commitment to corporate responsibility through educational initiatives like CyberConnect, and has emerged as a global cybersecurity thought leader."

CyberConnect is a unique forum for business leaders to interact in a dynamic environment. The forum will integrate thought leadership, collaborative roundtable sessions, and in-depth training designed to empower executives and practitioners alike with the tools and confidence needed to defend their organizations. CyberConnect will run in parallel with the CentrifyConnect user conference being held at the same time and location, with attendees at both conferences being able to attend sessions at either event.

The conference will include expert panels and sessions on the following topics:

  • Identity and Access Management
  • Securing Hybrid Cloud Environments
  • Russian, Chinese, Mercenary, and Cyber Criminal APTs
  • Risk Mitigation
  • Advanced Analytics & Big Data
  • Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence for Cybersecurity
  • Threat Landscape
  • Insider Threats
  • Supply Chain Security

"Every day there seems to be another cyber security threat or data breach making headlines, and it's become painfully obvious that today's security is not working. Our goal with CyberConnect is to gather industry thought leaders together to discuss the biggest issues of our time, share insights and discuss solutions - because we must," said Tom Kemp, CEO of Centrify. "This is the second year we've hosted a high-level, thought leadership cybersecurity event, and we are eager to connect Centrify customers with technology leaders and business executives at this important forum."
