Tyler Technologies Launches Classroom 360 Application for Teachers

Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced it has launched Classroom 360, a touch-enabled browser application that builds on Tyler's existing Tyler SIS Student 360 solution for educators. Classroom 360 provides a more intuitive and efficient way for teachers to use the Tyler SIS technology.

Classroom 360 will allow educators to more easily access student information with enhanced web-based access to important data. Classroom 360 includes many features, such as:

  • Attendance and gradebook tracking
  • Report card grades
  • Communication log with parent contact information
  • Discipline referrals
  • Seating charts
  • Data query
  • Access to all features of Student 360

Teachers new to the program can learn the basics of the Classroom 360 portal in a few hours, translating to less downtime and a smoother transition. Classroom 360 is designed to be intuitive and simple to navigate while providing the flexibility teachers need in a database. Teachers can also personalize the application settings so they work best for them, including things like how student names are displayed through the application - either by first or last name; how search results are displayed, from basic information to more detailed results; and how assignments, scores and other information are displayed in the gradebook.

"We're thrilled about the launch of Classroom 360, which will enable teachers to do even more with our Tyler SIS solution," said Nick Botonis, general manager for Tyler SIS. "Having information like gradebook, report cards, and attendance at their fingertips will increase efficiency in the classroom so they can focus on the students. We're eager to see the added efficiencies our clients will experience with this new application."

Classroom 360 is available to current clients with Student 360 with no additional license fee as a benefit of Tyler's evergreen perpetual licensing approach, which provides significant, yet manageable, software enhancements without any additional relicensing or service fees. Student 360 and Classroom 360 work in unison from the same complete data set, assuring alignment between students, parents, and teachers, and resulting in less risk of duplication and repetitive data entry.

Tyler will be implementing Classroom 360 to early adopters in June with a planned general release for all teachers by August. In addition to this solution, Tyler also offers comprehensive student information, enterprise resource management, and transportation solutions to more than 5,000 school districts across the country.
