Aceable Brings Pennsylvania's Drivers Ed Into the Future

Today Aceable, the mobile education platform and creators of the first state-approved drivers ed app, announced its expansion and availability in Pennsylvania. Effective today, all driving students in the state of Pennsylvania can fulfill their 25-hour classroom requirement and written exam on a mobile app. The curriculum is designed to be engaging and interactive and even offers students the ability to practice real-life driving situations, such as checking blind spots and yielding in a safe virtual reality environment.

Aceable's drivers ed app was designed to better meet the needs of teens and their parents. The curriculum includes witty humor and short videos to appeal to a younger audience, and unlike any other drivers ed curriculums, classes or applications in Pennsylvania, it offers and encourages parental involvement. Aceable is the only app where the parents can track their child's progress, via the "parent" login, and monitor how they are doing.

Aceable recently integrated 360 videos across all its mobile drivers education products and made the videos available for free on YouTube (News - Alert) to encourage safer driving. These 360 videos allow students to experience some of the challenges of driving, such as checking blind spots or 3-way intersections, without any risk.

"Mobile learning is becoming ubiquitous," said Blake Garrett, CEO of Aceable "One reason we were eager to bring our drivers ed app to Pennsylvania is because of the state's long-standing dedication to education. We know this is a region that embraces not only new ideas but new technology that enhances learning."

According to McKinsey, mobile learning and education is slated to be a $38B industry by 2020. Aceable is already investing in the future of mobile learning and recognizes the benefits beyond just ease-of-use. In fact, according to a Department of Defense Mobile Learning study, participants believed that mobile course delivery provides many benefits in regards to time management, convenience, lack of distraction and more concise information.

In the last two years since its initial launch, Aceable has grown its user base to more than 300,000 and all three markets where its Drivers Ed app is available - California, Texas and Florida - have consistent five star ratings in the iOS and Android (News - Alert) app stores.
