LG Focuses On Quality And Consumer Satisfaction With New 'LG G6® Second Year Promise' Program

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., June 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- LG Electronics MobileComm U.S.A., Inc. launched the "LG G6® Second Year Promise" (www.LGG6Promise.com) today, a unique, no-cost limited warranty program1 aimed at providing an additional year of customer service beyond the first year of ownership for LG G6 smartphone users in the United States.

"LG's responsibility to its customers is paramount, and this program further supports our commitment to providing quality products," said Chang Ma, President, LG Electronics MobileComm U.S.A., Inc.  "With the launch of the LG G6 Second Year Promise program, LG is shifting the definition of 'quality' to one that includes not only device specs and build, but also the peace of mind consumers experience using them, particularly during long term ownership."

As consumers now use their devices for an average of 18 to 24 months2, LG is driven to ensure a positive experience beyond initial ownership and into the longer life cycle of its devices.

Providing the same level of coverage as the original manufacturer's first year limited warranty, the Second Year Promise program will enable registered users to easily file, track a claim, and receive their replacement device faster. While many smartphone owners may be familiar with third-party extended service programs available at an additional cost, this Second Year Promise Program fills the gap with complimentary second-year, brand-level limited warranty coverage – more than what other manufacturers typically offer.

Service Beyond What Other Manufacturers Offer
Registered LG G6 owners can take advantage of the service – particularly during months 13 through 24 – by contacting LG Service3, should they need assistance with their device. If a replacement device is required uring the second year, LG will provide a new or certified refurbished device within two business days of claim verification. This process will help owners get back up and running as quickly as possible, and afford them the opportunity to continue using the LG G6 device they've come to know and love. The replacement device will also come with a LG limited warranty covering either the remainder of the consumer's Promise Program term, or 90 days from the service date, whichever is greater.

"As a leading brand, we know that mobile devices are an integral part of everyday life, and the LG G6 has proven to be reliable in a variety of situations – from every day use to the 14 military standards4 it endured," said Ma. "Still, we want our customers to feel peace of mind that should they encounter a problem, they can depend on LG. The LG G6 Second Year Promise Program aims to bolster user confidence and ensure their satisfaction beyond their initial purchase. We hope that customers take advantage of this no-cost offering and are able to appreciate the benefits of this extended service."
