TreasureHunt Raises $6 Million Series A Round to Launch and Promote Mobile Game, Pet Paradise, and Expand Games TeamBERLIN, June 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- TreasureHunt, an interactive entertainment company founded by EA, Zynga, Rovio and King veterans, announced today that it has raised a $6M Series A round. The capital will be used to promote the world's first bubble shooter pet collection game, Pet Paradise, launching June 14th, and to build out an additional game team. The round was led by Germany based online gaming company, The Gauselmann Group, with participation from private angel investors. The round brings TreasureHunt total funding raised to $8.4M. Created in late 2014, TreasureHunt was founded by Kyle Smith, formerly Producer and Lead Designer at Electronic Arts Canada (EAC), Ville Mikkola, who previously worked as a Drector at Fox Mobile and Glispa Global Group, and Martin Kern, co-founder of Tirendo (acquired for €50M). The leadership team is rounded out by Adnaan Ebrahim (previously Zynga, Bigpoint and Reliance), John Kelly (previously Design Manager at Rovio and Lead Game designer at Zynga and Playground), Amogh Chakravarthy (previously Lead Developer at Zynga), and Peter Soderbaum (previously Art Director at King and Wooga). Mobile games are the most lucrative gaming segment and the industry is expected to grow to $46.1 billion this year.
