Gov. John Kasich Joins UnitedHealth Group to Announce 700 New Jobs Coming to OhioOhio Gov. John Kasich joined UnitedHealth Group President Dave Wichmann and local officials today to announce that 700 new jobs are coming to Central Ohio. UnitedHealth Group, the parent company of UnitedHealthcare, is hiring for new positions over the next two years to support care providers and individuals nationwide who are enrolled in UnitedHealthcare plans. The 700 new employees will work out of a newly renovated space in Dublin. The announcement took place in Dublin at 5900 Parkwood Place. The 165,000-square-foot facility is currently being renovated and will re-open in September, with the capacity to house up to 1,000 employees. "We are hiring more Ohioans to help make health care simpler, higher-performing and more modern for people in Ohio and across the country," said Wichmann. "These new employees will enable us to enhance customer service, increase access to care and support well-being programs for the people we are privileged to serve. Our investments in these new jobs and the facility renovation affirm our commitment to Ohio, our care provider partners and our customers." UnitedHealth Group has a workforce of more than 3,500 people in Ohio, including 1,500 individuals with Optum, UnitedHealth Group's health services business. UnitedHealthcare serves nearly 2 million peple throughout Ohio enrolled in employer, Medicare and Medicaid health plans with a care provider network of more than 250 hospitals and nearly 49,000 physicians and other care providers statewide.
