Localytics Gives Marketers Easier Access to Cross-Channel Customer Data to Drive Stronger Omnichannel Engagement

BOSTON, June 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Localytics, the leading mobile engagement platform, is rolling out a number of new features designed to make it easier for marketers to access, exchange and analyze customer data across a variety of systems (website, email, CRM, point of sale, mobile, support, etc). The company is launching a series of enhancements to its API that will help businesses better understand how their users are interacting with their brand across all marketing channels so they can deliver a more effective omnichannel experience to those users.

"Accessing and exchanging customer data across different systems is crucial for marketers, but it's traditionally been difficult and time consuming to accurately match and standardize data from multiple places," said Lou Orfanos, Chief Customer Officer and SVP of Product at Localytics. "Effectively aggregating data has long been a major challenge for marketers. This set of features will helps ease that burden and allow marketers focus on doing what they do best - providing great customer experiences."

To help customers move data between systems, Localytics has launched Bulk Profile Exports and Bulk Profile Imports. Bulk Profile Exports enables customers to easily send large amounts of customer profile data collected by Localytics to other systems, such as a CRM, DMP or email vendor. Bulk Profile Imports enables Localytics toaccept large numbers of profile updates at one time, simplifying the task of keeping user data up-to-date across multiple systems.

Localytics is also adding a log export capability to its API that will allow customers to have their raw data logs automatically sent to a system of their choosing on a regular basis. This means customers can programmatically access all of their raw data without going through a complex and time consuming configuration process. Additionally, Localytics is launching support for audience list imports which will enable customers to send audience lists from other systems to Localytics via the API.

These new features also complement features launched earlier this year, including Audience Exports and Direct Access. Audience Exports enable customers to build audiences using Localytics industry-leading targeting engine and engage them using other systems, such as an email platform or ad network. Audiences are automatically sent to the other system and updated on a daily basis as users qualify and disqualify for the audience. Direct Access helps customers access all their raw data directly from Localytics, removing the need to unnecessarily export raw data in order to run advanced queries against the data.

Later this year, Localytics will also introduce Event Webhooks that enable customers to trigger changes in other systems in real-time using a webhook instead of the standard call and response API model, as well as Insights Exports that will programmatically export the results of a Localytics marketing campaign so the campaign's performance data can be combined with data from other systems. This will result in a new level of understanding as to how a campaign influences user behavior.
