StanCorp Financial Group, Inc., Appoints Elizabeth E. Flynn, Richard H. Wills and H. Elizabeth Mitchell to Board of DirectorsStanCorp Financial Group, Inc., (StanCorp) has appointed Elizabeth E. Flynn, Richard H. Wills and H. Elizabeth Mitchell to its board of directors effective May 8, 2017. Ms. Flynn previously served as the vice chairman of Marsh USA, Inc., from 2013 to 2015. While at Marsh she was also president of the Insurance Services Group from 2012 to 2013 and president and chief executive officer from 2011 to 2012. Ms. Flynn held senior leadership roles at Guy Carpenter, American International Group and JPMorgan Chase from 1982 to 2010. She currently serves on the board of directors of Webster Financial Corporation and Webster Bank. Mr. Wills was president and chief executive officer of Tektronix (News - Alert) from 2000 until 2008 and its chairman from 2001 through 2008. Mr. Wills joined Tektronix in 1979 and held numerous positions in sales, service, marketing, product line, business unit and international management. He currently serves as chairman of the board of directors of ESI (News - Alert) and previously served on the boards of FEI, Inc. and General Fusion, Inc. Ms. Mitchell was president and chief executive oficer of Renaissance Reinsurance U.S., Inc., from 2015 to 2016. She served as president for Platinum Underwriters Reinsurance, Inc., from 2005 to 2007 and president and chief executive officer from 2007-2015. Ms. Mitchell is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
