BluVector Appoints Scott Crenshaw to Board of Directors

BluVector, a leader in network security monitoring and analytics, today announced that security and cloud executive Scott Crenshaw has joined its board of directors.

Crenshaw currently serves as senior vice president and general manager, OpenStack and Microsoft (News - Alert) Clouds at Rackspace®. He helped lead industry transformations in open source, virtualization and cloud, as VP & GM of the Linux and the cloud business units at Red Hat (News - Alert). During that time, he led the teams that launched the OpenShift platform-as-a-service, CloudForms multi-cloud management and OpenStack, as well as driving broad adoption of the kvm virtualization technology. He founded and served as managing director of the Open Virtualization Alliance.

"Scott's deep and successful cloud and security history shows that he's been on the forefront of new enterprise technology," said Kris Lovejoy, CE at BluVector. "We're honored to welcome Scott to the board to help us continue to build solutions that will evolve with the needs of enterprise."

Crenshaw started his career as a computer scientist, and held engineering and business leadership positions at a variety of technology companies, including startups. Prior to joining Rackspace, Crenshaw was senior vice president, products, at VeriSign (News - Alert), Inc., where he served as general manager of its security business, as well as incubating new businesses. He also has served in executive positions at companies including Acronis, Inc., NTRU Cryptosystems, Inc. and Datawatch Corporation.

"Our economy, our society and even our government increasingly function online," said Crenshaw. "This creates an existential need for strong cyber security, a challenge which few organizations are equipped to address sufficiently. Kris and the BluVector team have created a unique and compelling solution, one that enables enterprises to defend their critical infrastructure more effectively and efficiently than was previously possible. They are applying innovation in ways we have not seen before. I am delighted to be able to join their team, and excited about the contributions we can make."
