SAN RAMON, Calif., May 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Accela, the leading provider of cloud-based productivity and civic engagement solutions for government, today announced the appointment of three industry veterans to newly created executive roles within the company, including Jay Colfer as Chief Revenue Officer, Troy Coggiola as Chief Product Officer and Srini Kakkera as Senior Vice President of Engineering. These new executives, along with the company's existing leadership team, will work to drive Accela's growth.

As Chief Revenue Officer, Jay Colfer will be responsible for leading the company's strategic sales and marketing initiatives. Jay brings more than 25 years of sales and management experience in tech sales to government, not-for-profit and for-profit organizations across the U.S. and international markets. While leading sales, marketing and channel partner organizations, Jay has focused on improving client relationships and building a culture that allows the organization to achieve its growth objectives. Most recently, he served as Chief Growth Officer at SSI, a leading provider of revenue cycle management solutions and services.

Troy Coggiola brings more than 18 years of software industry experience to his role as Accela's Chief Product Officer. Prior to joining Accela, Troy served as Senior Vice President of Product Management at Ellie Mae, the industry leader in mortgage origination technology, where he led product strategy and guided teams responsible for researching and defining the vision and requirements for the company's SaaS-based mortgage origination automation products. Throughout his career, he has built expertise in defining and implementing software solutions to automate and streamline complex business processes.



Srini Kakkera will assume the role of Senior Vice President of Engineering at Accela where he will be focused on overseeing critical engineering functions, technical platform strategy and management of development teams, hosting operations with embedded security and compliance. Srini is a seasoned industry veteran with an entrepreneurial background who has built and delivered world-class cloud products. Previously, Srini served as Senior Vice President of Engineering & Technology at AlertEnterprise and was a member of the company's founding team. Prior to AlertEnterprise, he was VP of Development at SAP Labs, LLC, responsible for GRC product development and instrumental in establishing the co-innovation strategy with leading technology partners such as Sun Microsystems, IBM, HP, Novell and Microsoft. In addition, he has held senior engineering positions at Virsa Systems acquired by SAP and Four-Soft, an IT company specializing in providing innovative software solutions exclusively for the transportation, logistics and supply chain market space.
