Nebraska Department of Natural Resources Launches an Efficient and Eye-Catching New Website

The Nebraska Department of Natural Resources (NeDNR) has launched a new, clean, efficient, visually stunning, and mobile-responsive website.

Collaborating with Nebraska Interactive, the redesign for the NeDNR website focused on the information architecture to produce a streamlined user experience where citizens can easily find services, data, forms, administration information, and more.

"We are very pleased that this website helps us deliver the vast amount of data and information in an effective and customer-service driven way," said Jeff Fassett, Director of NeDNR.

Providing a search box front and center with a pull-down menu, for the most-requested information, was the solution to assist users to identify and navigate the diverse and abundant data on the site. The NeDNR manages water through partnerships, cooperation, and science-based decision-making and provides information regarding water use and planning, rain, ice, current streamflow, dam safety, groundwater, and floodplain management. Organization and content management are of paramount importance.

"With water being a very important resource to all Nebraskans, we are enthusiastic to make the information readily accessible to anyone who visits the website," said Brent Hoffman (News - Alert), GM of Nebraska Interactive. "Water preservation and planning and water rights are a big part of that."
