Bill has 35 years' experience in direct and executive channel sales for leading technology companies that have deployed enterprise solutions such as storage, servers, network, and converged infrastructure across a broad range of industries and Fortune 500 companies.

The appointment of Wood follows the announcements of technology industry veterans joining Symbolic IO's management team with Stephen Sicola appointed to the Board of Directors and Rob Peglar assuming the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer.

Symbolic IO offers a new approach to storage computing by utilizing a platform based on patented computational-defined storage algorithms. Its IRIS product line accelertes all functions related to both the processing and the storing of data to operate seamlessly in the memory channel, ensuring the highest possible performance.



In his role at Symbolic IO, Wood will be instrumental in growing the company's channel partner ecosystem and building strategic alliances for the IRIS product line.

Prior to FireEye, Bill was with Forsythe Technology Solutions (News - Alert), a leading integrator and strategic partner for industry leading technology companies, holding senior sales management and business development positions. Previously, he held a storage solution sales leadership role at EMC, and led a global team that drove explosive growth by deploying innovative technology, services and financial solutions. He also led the most successful team at Storage Networks, a Storage as a Service pioneer, and established unique and innovative customer value solutions for enterprise organizations.
