Disrupting Tech on and off the Court: NBA China's David Shoemaker Joins CES Asia 2017's Sports Business Panel


The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) today announced a new conference session at CES Asia 2017, focused on sports business innovation and featuring NBA China CEO David Shoemaker. The panel is part of the robust CES (News - Alert) Asia Conference Program, will highlight increased use of tech in sports and related business opportunities in the evolving world of sports. Owned and produced by CTA and co-produced by Shanghai Intex Exhibition Co., Ltd. (Shanghai Intex), CES Asia 2017 will take place June 7-9 in Shanghai, China.

The panel entitled, "Sports Business Innovation: Tech Disruption in Sports," will take place opening day of CES Asia 2017 at 11:15 AM, Wednesday, June 7 in the Kerry Hotel, Level 3. In addition to Shoemaker, the session will feature executives from all facets of the sports industry, including Deborah Mei, Partner & Co-Founder of The Raine Group, which was instrumental in transactions of both the Los Angeles Clippers and Manchester City soccer club and Michael Ma, WME | IMG China, CEO, which recently acquired the UFC and formed a partnership with Turner Sports to create a professional esports league called ELEAGUE. The panel will discuss an era of unparalleled innovation and disruption in sports, and highlight new business opportunities emerging from the changing landscape of the sports industry.

The CES Asia 2017 Conference Program will feature three days of conference programming discussing the latest trends in the global consumer technology industry, including an opening keynote address from Huawei's (News - Alert) COO Mr. Wan Biao.
