Mike Woods Joins Wurl TV Team


PALO ALTO, Calif., April 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Wurl TV, a next-generation television service, today announced that Mike Woods, a veteran entertainment technology executive who most recently was with Disney's Maker Studios division, is joining the company May 1 as senior vice president and head of product.

The Wurl TV Network delivers internet-based TV channels to cable TV operators and OTT video services. The growing list of channels available on the Wurl Network includes IGN TV, Newsy, Baeble Music TV, the ALT Channel, Tastemade, Condé Nast and others.

Woods was vice president of product management at Maker Studios, the leading producer and distributor of short-form digital video content, which was acquired by The Walt Disney Co. in 2014. Previously, Woods held positions at Edmunds.com and Ernst & Young.
