Briggs Healthcare Selects DSI to Optimize Warehouse Operations in the Cloud

DSI® today announced that Briggs Healthcare has selected DSI's Cloud Inventory™ with integration to NetSuite (News - Alert) to drive warehouse productivity and efficiency in three locations.

Briggs Healthcare is a West Des Moines-based provider of medical supplies and forms. The company is transitioning from its on premise enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to a cloud-based system. To further extend the benefits of the new system, Briggs sought a cloud-based warehouse management solution.

"We've embraced and embarked on a cloud-first approach at Briggs, and a key part of that solution is transitioning to NetSuite," said John Phillips, EVP and CIO of Briggs. "Getting our warehouses up and running in the cloud is critical to us to achieve our cloud-first vision. With DSI's warehouse expertise, we expect to fully realize that vision this year."

With DSI's Cloud Inventory, a cloud-based inventory management system, Briggs will further refine its warehouse operations by automating several key business processes. The solution will allow Briggs to access inventory availability and increase visibility throughout the warehouse in real time.

For an added level of visibility, the company will also deploy DSI's Insights Suite. These easy-to-use data visualization tools with provide further insight into applicationperformance and warehouse operations. The Insights dashboards will empower Briggs with at-a-glance understanding to quickly make informed business decisions and improve productivity.

Cloud Inventory will integrate not only with NetSuite, but other software systems in use at one of the company's primary distribution centers. With DSI, Briggs will implement machine-to-machine (M2M) integration with a carousel control system that increases order fulfillment speed and accuracy yielding higher cost savings and freeing floor resources to handle more order volume. The company is anticipating numerous meaningful efficiency gains by using a single, cloud-based solution that also integrates with its shipping operations software.

"Briggs is a great example of a company that's really leveraging cloud-first and mobile-first technologies throughout the supply chain," said Mark Goode, Chief Revenue Officer, DSI. "They've recognized the value of enhancing their backend system and supply chain performance with a single cloud-based solution for everything from label printing to receiving and distribution to data analytics."
