Globalegrow Collaborates with Global Logistics Partners to Improve Warehousing

SHENZHEN, China, March 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Chinese cross-border e-commerce group Globalegrow has announced strategic alliances with US and European warehousing providers to fulfill complex and time-constrained logistics needs. The alliance is expected to increase localized warehousing efficiency by 20 percent this year.

Centralized and localized warehousing is essential to meet Globalegrow's long-term goal to provide flexible delivery service. Shipping to more than 200 countries, Globalegrow holds an inventory of more than 2.5 million items in various categories like clothing, consumer electronics, toys and more. To enhance the efficiency of its global logistics system, Globalegrow collaborates with the third-party logistics providers located in the United States, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Poland, Australia and Japan to fulfill local storage needs. With these new deals, the span id="spanHghlt9c25">company's total storage area is expected to reach more than 1.6 million square feet.

"The biggest challenge for cross-border purchasing is logistics. Working with localized warehousing providers is the key to speed up delivery time," commented Allen Yung, global business development manager at Globalegrow. "However, the delivery time of localized warehousing is also affected by the culture, policy and manpower. We are cautious and only have attempted to operate in mature markets so far. Since the launch of these alliances, localized warehousing efficiency has greatly improved local customers' satisfaction."

Globalegrow has more than 300 people in its logistics team, 15 of whom are veteran managers with more than 10 years' industry experience. The company is also looking for opportunities to invest in in-house warehousing solutions to reach customers worldwide in the most efficient way.

"Over the next 1 to 3 years, demands for localized warehousing will increase greatly, along with increasing sales," Allen said. "Globalegrow will continue to manage localized warehousing via our own team or even consider building our own warehouses to meet demand when needed."
