FeedYak's Global Study Reveals 7 Essential Ideas for Engaging Generation Z Professionals

FeedYak, the app for employee engagement, published its third annual report, Engaging the Generation Z Professional, based on the responses of over 8,000 students and professionals. The report provides insight about the challenges Generation Z perceives and new opportunities to better understand them professionally, while enlightening us on how using continuous professional feedback can help them.

FeedYak surveyed students and graduates from Top 40 Universities in the United States including: Columbia University, Carnegie Mellon, Cornell University, George Washington University, Luther, Stanford, Tulane, University of Arizona, Berkley, University of Chicago, University of Indiana, University of Southern California, Yale, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University, Texas A&M University, Ohio State University, University of Puerto Rico, and others.

"Competition for Generation Z talent is rising and organizations will need to invest to preserve their workforce," said David Watkins, CEO of FeedYak. "Real-time continuous feedback is replacing traditional methods that are no longer relevant."

The survey identified a tightening labor market for talen, and that retention and engagement was improved when feedback was provided using multimedia content versus just text based commentary. For these new professionals, it is more powerful to give feedback by a voice recording, video or picture along with your commentary.
