Announcing the Fiber Broadband Association

FTTH Council President & CEO Heather Burnett Gold announced today that the association has launched a modernized brand that better reflects the evolution and makeup of the industry the organization represents and the consumer services its members deliver. The new brand and descriptor is "Fiber Broadband Association, accelerating the connected future" and will be the association's formal name in all aspects of its public image.

"The Fiber Broadband Association represents members that are building the world's highest-performing fiber optic broadband networks for consumers at home, businesses and the critical role fiber plays supporting new and emerging technologies like 5G wireless networks," said Heather Burnett Gold, President & CEO, Fiber Broadband Association. "Modernizing our brand acknowledges this evolution and brings a new sense of excitement into our effort to represent an industry, inclusive of other fiber-supported technologies with a common goal of building the world's fastest-growing technology platform for consumers, businesses and innovation."

The updated brand is a continuation of the association's effort to reflect how the marketplace is no longer defined by silos of the past. While still totally committed to fiber to the home, the association and its members know that fiber optic Internet access has moved to the business and beyond. It is also reflected in the association's2016 rebranding of "Fiber Connect" from the FTTH Connect. Fiber Connect 2017 will be hosted in Orlando in June 2017.

"Just as our industry is witnessing an exciting expansion of demand for the speed and resilience of fiber optic technology, the Fiber Broadband Association's brand must reflect the dynamism of our members," Gold said. "Our mission has expanded beyond the home, and our new look now reflects the extension of fiber to every aspect of our connected future."

The new logo is a bold and sleek design that projects a message of innovation, partnership and energy. The Fiber Broadband Association "crown" has points and colors are a symbol of our brand promise, our virtues, our integrity and our multi-stakeholder commitment to our industry. It visualizes what the industry already knows -- fiber is the crowning technology.

As part of the brand launch, the Fiber Broadband Association has launched an updated website, social properties and other elements. Learn more about the Fiber Broadband Association at www.fiberbroadband.org.
