Books-A-Million Honors Teachers with Educator Week, April 1-7

Whether they're creating lesson plans, attending PTA meetings or leading afterschool tutorials, teachers of all academic levels are true class acts. To acknowledge their hard work and the vital role they play in communities across the world, Books-A-Million is hosting its bi-annual Educator Week from April 1 - 7. During this weeklong tribute, teachers can save 25 percent on any purchase of classroom items in-store or online and even have the chance to win scholastic sweepstakes prizes! Plus, they'll enjoy a special in-store kick-off event on April 1 from 2-4 p.m.!

As part of Educator Week, teachers who bring their school ID to a Books-A-Million store location will have the opportunity to register for their official Educator Card, which grants them access to benefits and discounts offered not only during Educator Week, but also throughout the year!

On Saturday, April 1, all Books-A-Million locations will host a special kickoff event to set the stage for the weekly festivities! Teachers can stop by their local stores to pick up free classroom resource materials from Penguin Random House Kids, DK, Harper Collins and various other publishers, including Educator guides to "The Boxcar Children" series, "Magic Tree House" series, Wonder Certified Kind Classroom Challenge starter, STEM calendars and more. Each stre will also raffle one $25 Books-A-Million gift card during the event.

"We can never do enough to thank the men and women who dedicate their lives to inspiring and leading the next generation," said Scott Kappler, Chief Marketing Officer for Books-A-Million. "Teachers do so much for our communities, and we're honored to celebrate them with our Educator's Week offerings."

There are also a variety of sweepstake prizes up for grabs all month long, including one $1,000 Books-A-Million gift card and four $250 Books-A-Million gift cards. Teachers can enter to win now through April 7 by visiting booksamillion.com/educatorweek.
