France Télévisions Selects New Relic to Gain Full Visibility and Improve Infrastructure Performance for Digital Platforms

Digital intelligence leader New Relic, Inc. (NYSE: NEWR) announced today France Télévisions, France's number one audiovisual group, is utilizing the New Relic Digital Intelligence Platform to gain visibility into and help design software infrastructure for their digital platforms. France Télévisions is leveraging multiple products - New Relic APM (News - Alert), New Relic Mobile, New Relic Browser, and New Relic Synthetics - as part of their goal to build and deploy higher quality software, faster. The company has also recently expanded their usage by adding New Relic Insights and New Relic Infrastructure to their development and operations teams.

Forty-four percent of Internet users in France access France Télévisions' websites at least once a month and the company announced that it will deliver approximately four billion videos over the web this year. The company developed their digital leadership through the "Numérique" department of France Télévisions, a technical group responsible for creating web and mobile applications and applications for game stations.

With the importance of these digital initiatives to their business, the "Numérique" department undertook a comprehensive review of application performance monitoring (APM) solutions. The technical direction choose New Relic in part because of the feedback from their developers and operations following hands-on testing, the quick and easy deployment of New Relic as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) monitoring solution, and capabilities such as service maps that provide IT operations increased visibility into the performance of the software infrastructure within their private cloud environment.

Within months, the "Numérique" department deployed New Relic to most of their websites, delivering immediate benefit in helping their team identify performance issues within their infrastructure. New Relic is also supporting Numérique's agile practice and helping the organization move towards a continuous deployment model by giving developers and operatios data on the performance of new deployments in comparison to prior releases.
