TORONTO, March 13, 2017 /CNW/ - Bell Media congratulates its production partners, team members, and talent on another remarkable performance at the Canadian Screen Awards. Recognized with 35 television wins overall, Bell Media continues to showcase its growing commitment to creating and developing exceptional original Canadian content.

Bell Media and its partners garnered four of the major television awards handed out at last night's closing gala, including Best Dramatic Series (ORPHAN BLACK), Best Comedy (LETTERKENNY), Best Dramatic Actress (Tatiana Maslany, ORPHAN BLACK), and Best Dramatic Actor (Adrian Holmes, 19-2). Bell Media-supported film projects won 18 awards, including Best Motion Picture (It's Only the End of the World), Best Direction (It's Only the End of the World/Xavier Dolan), Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role (The Other Half/Tatiana Maslany), and Best Original Screenplay (Weirdos/Daniel MacIvor).

Viewers can catch a full recap of the Canadian Screen Awards, including all the red carpet arrivals and behind-the-scenes coverage with a special edition of ETALK tonight. ETALK AT THE CSAs airs at 7 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and CTV GO, and 7:30 p.m. ET/PT on CTV Two and CTV GO.

Space's juggernaut sci-fi drama ORPHAN BLACK from Temple Street Productions secured nine wins over the course of Canadian Screen Week, including Best Dramatic Series, Best Performance by an Actress in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role for the fourth year in a row to Tatiana Maslany, Best Direction in a Dramatic Series, and Best Writing in a Dramatic Series. Bravo's hit drama 19-2 from Sphère Média Plus and Echo Media received one win, for Best Performance by an Actor in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role to Adrian Holmes.

CTV's THE AMAZING RACE CANADA from Insight Production Company Ltd. took home six awards, including Best Reality/Competition Program or Series for the third year in a row, Best Direction in a Reality / Competition Program or Series, Best Writing in a Lifestyle or Reality / Competition Program or Series, and the Golden Screen Award for TV Reality Show.

The CraveTV Original Series LETTERKENNY, from New Metric Media, garnered three, including Best Comedy, Best Direction in a Comedy Program or Series, and Best Writing in a Comedy Program or Series.

Bell Media Studios garnered two awards, including Best News or Information for Discovery's DAILY PLANET, the first Canadian Screen Award in the series' 22-year history, and for the second year in a row, THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW as Best Talk Program or Series.

CTV News received three awards, including Best News or Information Program for W5, while Best National News Anchor went to CTV NATIONAL NEWS' Lisa LaFlamme, and Best Local News Anchor went to Daryl McIntyre from CTV Edmonton.

TSN garnered a total of four awards, more than all other sports broadcasters, including Best Direction in a Live Sporting Event for the 2015 GREY CUP. TSN's Chris Cuthbert was recognized for Best Sports Play-by-Play while Best Sports Analyst in a Sports Program or Series went to Jack Armstrong. TSN Original Features were also recognized, winning the award for Best Sports Feature Segment for TSN's "Radical Play".

Television productions supported by premium pay TV network The Movie Network received four wins, led by Bell Media Original Documentaries HIP-HOP EVOLUTION, from Banger Films, which received two wins; HOW TO CHANGE THE WORLD, from Met Films, which secured one award; and TMN series SENSITIVE SKIN, from Rhombus Media/Baby Cow Productions, which garnered one award.

Seven films supported by The Movie Network and The Harold Greenberg Fund/Le Fonds Harold Greenberg won 18 awards, including: It's Only The End of the World, which took home six awards including Best Motion Picture; Race, which earned four wins including Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role to Stephan James; and Weirdos, which received two wins including Best Original Screenplay.

One of its most-watched broadcasts of the year, ETALK AT THE CSAs has all the biggest moments from the CSAs airing tonight at 7 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and CTV GO, and 7:30 p.m. ET/PT on CTV Two and CTV GO. The 30-minute special includes coverage of Canadian Screen Week with highlights from Sunday night's gala, including Devon Soltendieck's reports from the red carpet, Danielle Graham's behind-the-scenes coverage, and a fashion face-off ith Danielle and Lainey Lui.
