Digital Transformation Company n.io Adds Two Prominent Executives to Its Leadership Team

n.io, a disruptive software company delivering world-class digital transformation solutions, today announced the addition of two key executives to its leadership team: Sven Gerjets as Chief Product Officer and Christopher Ratcliffe as Chief Marketing Officer. n.io is building out its management team to help bring its award-winning DxP (Digital Transformation Platform) into even more real-world IoT deployments which will enable the expansion of its customer base beyond the current industrial, agriculture, telecom-media-entertainment, and OEM verticals.

"Given the tremendous momentum around IoT and digital transformation in the market, it is imperative that I bring onboard leaders who have the depth of experience, creativity and passion to ensure n.io is able to capitalize on the incredible opportunities before us," said Doug Standley, n.io CEO. "I have no doubt that the industry is on the cusp of a new digital revolution and companies must be ready to compete in new unimagined ways. Sven Gerjets and Chris Ratcliffe will help n.io and our customers on this journey."

Prior to taking on the role of Chief Product Officer at n.io, Sven Gerjets was the Chief Information Officer at Time Warner (News - Alert) Cable where he successfully led the technology organization through Time Warner Cable's $50B sale to Charter Communications. Sven has spent three decades leading technology organizations at Fortune 500 companies including: AT&T, Symantec (News - Alert), DirectTV, and Pearson.

"IoT and digital transformation specifically present a huge opportunity for companies that lots of people are talking about," said Gerjets. "But n.io is the only company I have found that is actually building products that are being used for real-world deployments."

Christopher Ratcliffe joins n.io as Cief Marketing Officer following four years at Dell EMC (News - Alert) where he most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Marketing for Core Technologies, a $16B division of Dell EMC. Chris has 25 years of experience in the IT industry with broad international roles across marketing, sales, consulting, and customer support in companies ranging in size from Fortune 10 to startups.

"As I looked around the industry, I was struck by Doug Standley's differentiated management approach at n.io," said Ratcliffe. "He has the rare foresight to fuse the agility and innovation associated with a startup with the discipline and structure frequently found only in large enterprise companies. He has managed to bring together the best of both worlds, with a vision to scale that is unusual for a company at this stage."

A recent IDC report1 predicts that by 2020 the Internet of Things (IoT) annual global sales will exceed $1.29 trillion. In 2016, global IoT spending was $737 billion, which includes investments in hardware, software, services, and connectivity.

"There is no doubt in my mind that now is the time to invest in human capital if a company intends to be a contender in the burgeoning Internet of Things sector," said Vernon Turner, IoT Research Fellow at IDC (News - Alert).
