Wasco County, Oregon Chooses ClearVote For New Voting System SolutionBOSTON, March 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Clear Ballot announced today the signing of a contract with Wasco County, Oregon to implement the ClearVote voting system. The addition of Wasco County increases the number of registered voters using ClearVote technology to 60 percent. Wasco County will begin implementing the new technology immediately for use in their next election in May.
Wasco County chose to switch to the ClearVote voting system to increase the efficiency of their election administration process. The ClearVote system streamlines the workflow for scanner operators and opening boards and ensures that each ballot is touched less frequently, reducing the amount of ballot-tracking procedures and the potential for human error. In addition, the digital adjudication process saves time, which in turn reduces operating expenses.
