The Affordable Infertility Benefit That Is Already Available To Millions, The Conception Kit by Conceivex

As public and private companies continue to struggle with the escalating cost of, and desire to provide, fertility benefits for their employees, one infertility benefit - that managers and employees may not be fully aware of - is already available for a $30-$75 co-pay under many insurance plans.

The Conception Kit® at-home system is an FDA cleared, drug- and hormone-free treatment that couples use privately to help overcome infertility. Insured individuals in the U.S. already have reimbursable access to the Conception Kit through their pharma benefits managers (including Express Scripts, CVS/Caremark, and ProCare RX), and it is available at pharmacies, including Walgreens, nationwide.

By comparison, other infertility treatment options can prove costly. For example, a single cycle of in-vitro fertilization (IVF) costs $12,400 on average, according to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and is not always covered by insurance. The cost of egg freezing and storage can be similarly high.

The Conception Kit provides three months of supplies (including 24 ovulation predictors, three pregnancy tests, along with three proprietary Conception Caps®, and a number of additional aides) - that, in many cases, would cost more over-the-counter than the total amount of the co-pay. Even wthout a co-pay, the Conception Kit is available for $360.

The FDA required clinical trials on placement of the Conception Cap (a cervical cap that is used for insemination at home) and instructions by patients. During the trials, 24 percent of the patients got pregnant.

"Today, more than 20 million women are affected by infertility, and men are equally in need of help," Conceivex President and Founder Michael La Vean, said. "Given the affordability and privacy that the Conception Kit provides, there is now a new 'first step' treatment that corporate benefit managers and human resource professionals can offer to employees."
