Banks Partner to Award $20K Grant to Four Corners Economic Development FoundationThe Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas), Bank of the Southwest and Four Corners Community Bank will award $20,000 in Partnership Grant Program (PGP (News - Alert)) funds to Four Corners Economic Development Foundation (4CED) at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2017 at PESCO - Process Equipment & Service Company, 5680 US-64, Farmington, New Mexico 87401. The media is encouraged to attend. The grant funds will be used for retention and expansion outreach, continuation of educational opportunities for entrepreneurs and operating costs. "This grant demonstrates the commitment of our banking partners and stakeholders to the economic growth and well-being of Farmington and San Juan County," said Farmington Mayor Tommy Roberts. The structure of the PGP allows FHLB Dallas member institutions like Bank of the Southwest and Four Corners Community Bank to make a contribution of $500 to $4,000 to a community-based organization (CBO), which FHLB Dallas will match at a 3:1 ratio. 4CED serves northwest New Mexico including the communities of Aztec, Bloomfield, Farmington, Shiprock and the unincorporated portions of San Juan County. The organization works with local governments, institutions and the private sector to diversify the local economy.
