For the full year 2016, research and development expenses totaled $132.8 million, compared to $69.6 million for 2015. The increase in 2016 expenses was primarily due to the company’s investment in eptinezumab for clinical trial costs and manufacturing costs for drug supply in support of planned and ongoing pivotal clinical trials. For the full year, general and administrative expenses totaled $26.1 million, compared to $16.7 million for 2015.
