Medfusion, Inc. Acquires NexSched, LLC(HIMSS17 #MP36) - Medfusion, Inc., a leading provider of patient experience solutions, today announced that it has entered into a binding agreement to acquire the business and certain assets of NexSched, LCC, a privately held New York-based company that specializes in patient self-scheduling solutions. The acquisition is subject to certain standard closing conditions and is expected to close by the end February, 2017. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The addition of NexSched's technology supports Medfusion's initiative to empower patients to take control of their care in the era of healthcare consumerism. According to a recent Accenture study, 77 percent of patients think that the ability to book, change or cancel appointments online is vitally important to their healthcare experience.
