UCA, NTT (News - Alert) DATA's Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA), expands automated imaging analytics to include incidental findings that could signal potential patient risk and may otherwise be unreported. These findings are included in a comprehensive data dashboard that displays business insights highlighting care delivery and monitoring gaps. By providing a complete imaging view, UCA increases imaging's impact on patient outcomes at an optimized cost. The latest release of NTT DATA's cloud-enabling VNA, UCA version 9.5, features user-driven enhancements that improve data management, interoperability and reporting. These include Integrated Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) interoperability, a Fast Healthcare Information Repository (FHIR), and updates to data workflow access and integration with HL7 event monitoring. UCA version 9.5 also tightly integrates tools that automate image analysis for specific anatomy including liver, bone, vascular and lungs, as well as new algorithms for brain imaging. Geared toward multi-location imaging services, role-based access provides custom views of operational data, unifying data from multiple information and clinical systems. This allows management and imaging teams at the point of care to improve patient experience, monitor costs and meet regulatory requirements. NTT DATA Services is expanding the library for the Operational Business Intelligence service, which is capable of creating innovative graphic views of a wide variety of data types. The integration of these capabilities with transactional data is critical to effective delivery of information at the point of patient care decisions. Clinical Insights from Imaging Analytics uses machine vision and artificial intelligence to analyze beyond the prescribed pathology offering automated measurements to improve productivity and identify potential patient risk that may otherwise be unreported. The algorithms from Zebra Medical Vision and others enable health systems to use imaging studies for population health risk identification. Going forward, radiologists will be able to automate physiological measurements and describe potential early onset of disease indications. These capabilities address quality, consistency and allow imaging reports to describe preventative measures based on incidental findings.
