Collabera Announces 2017 STEM Scholarship OpportunityMORRISTOWN, N.J., Feb. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Collabera, a global leader in IT staffing and professional services, announced their commitment of supporting aspiring science, technology, engineering and mathematic students who are looking to pursue a career in Computer Science or Engineering through the 2017 Collabera STEM Scholarship.

This scholarship will grant the financial support to three passionate individuals by awarding a $2,500 scholarship to assist in their efforts in pursuing an exciting and rewarding STEM career. The applicants must submit a one page essay answering the following, "Pursuing a career in STEM requires a strong commitment to stay on top of the ever-changing world of technology. As a future STEM leader, what influenced your decision to pursue a career in STEM and how do you think you will make an impact in this industry?" The student who best answers the question will be declared the recipient of the 2017 Collabera STEM Scholarship. "STEM education is the foundation for building a strong engineering and technology workforce of the future. Collabera recognizes that students in this field face steep challenges in funding their education. Supporting deserving students to pursuetheir careers in STEM is an initiative we felt can have a larger impact to society, which is why Collabera has decided to offer scholarships that allow these students to pursue their passion. Our goal is to help future STEM leaders of tomorrow with the support they need today to pursue their career. The scholarships will be awarded to first-year students who are planning on attending an accredited, public or private, two-year or four-year College or University, in the United States, on a full time basis in the fall semester of 2017. The applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale who plans to pursue a degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
