Robert Halvorsen Joins HUB International Midwest as a Technology Practice Leader


HUB International Midwest (HUB MWW (News - Alert)), a division of HUB International Limited, a leading global insurance brokerage, risk advisory and employee benefits firm, announced today that Robert Halvorsen has joined HUB MWW's Technology Practice Leaders team, one of two HUB MWW groups dedicated to serving clients' technology needs related to benefits administration and HRIS. With the many years of experience and collective expertise of these teams, along with an extensive list of available services, the two groups represent a unique offering in the marketplace. Together, the two groups, demonstrate HUB MWW's ability to provide strategic and holistic support, integrating technology services with clients' existing systems and needs.

As a technology practice leader (TPL), Halvorsen will be responsible for helping to provide customized technology support and guidance to HUB MWW clients. A key part of HUB MWW's bundled employee benefit value proposition, the TPL team specializes in guiding clients through software vendor selection, helping clients find the best solutions for their needs. The team's solutions are based on extensive research into the market, which drives their benchmarking of vendors and augments HUB MWW's spectrum of technology solutions (SPOTS).

HUB MWW's SPOTS is further expanded by the work of ihouse, a technology consulting firm acquired by HUB in 2014. For 22 years, the ihouse team has been the preeminent consultant for large employers (up to 100,000), specializing in HRIS, payroll, benefits administration and other HR-related technology needs. Using a hands-on approach, ihouse consultant help provide current-state analyses, build strategies, provide project management services to implement software solutions.



Halvorsen's hiring underscores HUB MWW's commitment to further building out their comprehensive technology support to meet client needs. Most recently, Halvorsen served as senior account manager and client relationship manager with bswift, a benefits and HR software company based in Chicago, where he was responsible for managing one of the company's largest books of business and overseeing numerous new client projects. Halvorsen has several years of experience in the insurance industry. He holds a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University.
