MIT Tech Conference to explore Robotics, AI, VR, IoT, and Synthetic Biology

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Feb. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- How does AI enable the proliferation of IoT, robotics and other exponential technologies? Which technological challenges that exist at the intersection of exponential technologies present enormous business opportunities? And what impact will exponential technologies have in shaping the human experience five, ten, or twenty years from now?

On February 18, 2017, industry experts, engineers, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, academics and more will gather at the renowned MIT Media Lab for the 2017 MIT Tech Conference. They will seek to answer these questions with a focus on creating opportunities that allow one exponential technology to enable growth, dematerialization, democratization and impact of another.

"The Conference organizers set an ambitious goal for this year's conference—to inspire entrepreneurs, business, engineering students and practitioners to work together on business models and technological challenges that arise at the intersections of exponential technologies," says Nargis Sakhibova, MIT Sloan MBA 2017, Chair and Managing Director of the Conference. "Each of the talks and keynote presentations will finish with a set of challenges that are really entrepreneurial opportunities. And the structure of talks and speeches allows conference participants to ask the most burning questions from industry practitioners who stand at the cutting edge of innovation."

A portion of the conference is reserved for a Technologies of the Future Showcase. Conference attendees will be able to see, touch, play and feel with technologies in action including Notion Theory's VR arm (showcased at CES 2017), and drones from CyPhy, among other MIT projects and companies.

UBTECH Robotics, who made the Guinness Book of World Records after 1,007 of their robots danced simultaneously, are slated to open the conference with a much smaller troupe of dancing robots that will also be made available at the Technologies of the Future Showcase.

The inspiring keynote speakers and panelists include, among others:
