Allant Group Moves Tokenization Security to the Cloud

CHICAGO, Jan. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Allant Group www.allantgroup.com, a premier value technology provider of multi-sourced data aggregation and advanced data analytics, has moved its data and services to the cloud to increase application flexibility and availability, as well as to reduce IT support and maintenance costs. The Allant Group combines customer and business intelligence applications to help enterprise and mid-market clients gain valuable insights and drive marketing performance. As an organization that focuses on Big Data, Allant receives, stores, and processes large datasets of payment and personal information, carefully guarding it in a tokenized PCI Island running in an on-premise data center.

Allant has re-architected much of their computing platform based on a hybrid cloud enablement strategy. One of the last remaining challenges to moving operations and applications entirely to a Hybrid Cloud Platform was the on-premise tokenized PCI Island. "Tokenization and PCI-compliance—even though critical to running a secure business—are areas we'd rather not put our time and energy into as they don't add direct value to our customers," says Dan Iantorno, Allant Group CIO. "We'd rather focus our internal IT resources on developing new analytic applications for our clients while knowing that our sensitive data is secured in cloud data vaults away from our internal systems bt completely accessible in real time."

Allant chose the TokenEx Cloud Security Platform to move all its PCI and PII data to tokenized data vaults stored in ultra-secure and redundant cloud data centers. The re-architecting of the on-premise PCI Island to the TokenEx Security Cloud Platform required pre-certification of TokenEx processing by Allant's financial partners as well as the exact duplication of the tokenization processes used by the existing on-premise system—all during the pre-sales cycle. "TokenEx jumped through the proverbial hoops to prove they could replicate our existing tokenization processes, so that we and our partners did not have to change any of our business processes or interfaces," Iantorno points out. "We are confident that TokenEx will safeguard our critical PCI and PII data as we continue our move to the Cloud in 2017."

TokenEx CEO Alex Pezold remarks, "Working closely with The Allant Group on this critical stage of their transition to a flexible application cloud architecture proves that our security platform is designed to be open and flexible to meet the business needs of any organization. The TokenEx Open Security Architecture accommodates all types of data formats; interoperates with any payment gateway and financial institution worldwide; and integrates workflows from third-party services such as fraud detection, account refresh providers, and marketing analytic programs like The Allant Group. In addition, our elastic pricing model makes it easy and affordable for organizations to tokenize and vault all their sensitive data. Our cloud security platform is truly open by design."

About TokenEx: TokenEx was founded by two security experts—Alex Pezold and Dr. Jerald Dawkins—to combat data theft while helping organizations reduce the costs associated with Payment Card Information (PCI) compliance. What started as an efficient and effective method of replacing payment card data with undecipherable tokens, rapidly evolved into a strategic platform as a service (PaaS) for data security. By integrating four key technologies—tokenization, encryption, data vaulting, and key management—with a highly secure cloud-computing platform, TokenEx has grown rapidly, becoming the choice tokenization vendor for data security.
