Abel Solutions Top Exec Named to Nation’s Largest Tech Trade Association Board

Atlanta – Dec. 8, 2016 – The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), the state’s largest technology trade association, recently tapped business and community leader David Hammond to join its board of directors. A long-time Abel Solutions vice president of solutions delivery, Hammond brings considerable executive and consulting experience to TAG’s 30,000 Georgia members and will serve on its Georgia Technology Summit planning task force. During his time at Abel Solutions, Hammond has been responsible for management and delivery of all portal and collaboration solutions as well as application development projects over the past decade.

A graduate of Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and a 2004 graduate of Leadership North Fulton, Hammond has a long history of leadership in the Atlanta community, giving back in his spare time to local non-profits. In 2007, he served as class chair for Leadership North Fulton, while sitting on the program’s board of directors from 2005-2010. Hammond is also a founding member of The Drake House and has been on its board since 2004. Prior to his work with Drake House, he served on the board of directors of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce as well as the Forsyth County Judicial Citizens Review Panel.

Before joining Abel Solutions, Hammond was VP of operations for LaVista Consulting, an information technology solutions firm focused on the energy industry, and LaVista Resources, a recruiting and staffing organization. Before that, he served as director of an industry solutions consulting practice with Computer Associates’ Global Professional Services, and held a number of senior management positions with start-up technology and successful established consulting companies, including Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).
