The Warrior to Cyber Warrior (W2CW) Initiative Gives Back on Veterans Day: Free Cyber Certifications for Vets and Active Duty Military


ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of Veterans Day, the Warrior to Cyber Warrior (W2CW) initiative today announced that Veterans and Active Duty Military will be entitled to take one exam in the Cyber Certified Experts (CCE) Program free of charge. Made possible through a generous donation from the Lunarline School of Cyber Security (SCS), this free online certification will be available for one year starting November 11th, 2016.

The Lunarline Cyber Certified Experts Program helps professionals prove to employers that they have what it takes to tackle the hardest challenges in cyber security Through this Veterans Day offer, Veterans and Active Duty Military will have access to nearly three dozen Certified Expert Certifications covering every conceivable cyber discipline, free of charge, a $350 value.



To register for an exam, please send proof of military service, your selected CE certification and resume showing relevant experience to [email protected] so that we can initiate exam access. The Department of Veterans Affairs makes validating military service easy. Just follow these steps:

  • Login to eBenefits
  • Click on the eBenefits logo (top left)
  • Click on VA Letters link
  • Click on Service Verification link
  • Print to .pdf

Be sure to review your desired certification for any minimum experience requirements. Those that pass the exam but do not possess the requisite experience will be awarded the Certified Expert Associate certificate. This certificate can later be upgraded upon obtaining the required experience. While annual certification renewal requires 20 Professional Development Credits (PDCs) and payment of a $75 certification renewal fee, under this program we are waiving renewal requirements for Active Duty Military and Veterans for one year.
