CyberX was the only industrial cybersecurity company chosen by a blue-chip committee of 100 cybersecurity professionals, including CISOs from leading global organizations, government intelligence and defense experts, and security experts from the investment and academic communities.

Sponsored by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the US Department of Defense, this year's Security Innovation Network (SINET) competition was the most competitive since the initiative began eight years ago. Past SINET 16 Innovators have included industry leaders such as Crowdstrike and Cylance.

CyberX enables organizations to detect and respond faster to unusual and unauthorized activities in their industrial networks. The company's industrial cybersecurity platform combines continuous monitoring and non-invasive vulnerability assessments with advanced analytics, deep network forensics, and proprietary threat intelligence for Industrial Control Systems (ICS). CyberX's technology is rapidly deployedwith zero impact on operations due to its out-of-band, high-fidelity packet capture; SIEM integration; and support for all major industrial protocols.

"Smart grids, smart manufacturing and the Industrial Internet are making it easier for nation-states, cybercriminals and hacktivists to impact safety and production in critical infrastructure sectors such as energy, chemicals, transportation and manufacturing," said Omer Schneider, CyberX Founder and CEO. "The risk is compounded by the fact that industrial networks have historically relied solely on perimeter security and are particularly vulnerable to insider threats. We're proud to be recognized for our innovation in providing new levels of visibility and threat detection to mitigate these risks."

CyberX's CEO will be speaking about the company's new approach on the SINET 16 Innovator Panel, which is being held at the National Press Club in Washington, DC on Wednesday, November 2. He'll describe how CyberX detects anomalies faster and with higher accuracy, using proprietary Industrial Finite State Machine (IFSM) analytics to model industrial networks as deterministic sequences of states and transitions.

The panel will be introduced by Dr. Douglas Maughan, Director of DHS's Cyber Security Division (CSD) for the Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency. Other noteworthy participants in this year's SINET Showcase conference include Marcus Sachs, CSO for the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC); Francois Lavaste, CEO of Airbus Defense and Space (DS) Cybersecurity; and Charles Nelson of the US Cyber Command.
