Martin Harriman appointed to board of small cell wireless backhaul specialists CCSCambridge, UK, 1st November 2016 – Martin Harriman, one of the industry’s most experienced telecoms entrepreneurs and executives, has been appointed to the board of Cambridge Communication Systems (CCS) Limited, the company announces today. With a board-level career spanning over 25 years, Martin brings to CCS extensive experience in both start-up and blue-chip telecoms business management, including executive leadership roles at BT, Ericsson and Telefónica. Martin’s appointment strengthens an already impressive board team, whose wide-ranging telecoms experience encompasses the creation of start-ups to building large, multinational businesses. He is a judge of the Pitch@Palace programme and serves on its Board of Directors. Martin is a former board member of the UK mobile operator O2 and was previously Head of Telefonica’s global consumer Internet of Things business based in Madrid. Martin spent a number of years working in the US, including advisory work for Harbinger Capital Partners in New York and then serving as Executive Vice President of Lightsquared Inc., the ambitious multi-billion dollar disruptive wireless business backed by Harbinger. Martin held a number of senior executive positions with Ericsson, where he served as Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Business Development and delivered both the successful integration of Marconi into the Ericsson business, and the creation of its new Business Unit Multimedia. Prior to Ericsson, Martin served as the Chief Marketing Officer of Marconi Plc, and as General Manager and Head of Business-to-Business Marketing at BT.
