ad:tech New York 2016 Honors Career Focus on Tech Innovation With Industry Achievement Award


ad:tech New York 2016, the original industry authority for advertising, marketing and media technology, announced the recipients of the 2016 ad:tech Industry Achievement Award: Nada Stirratt, Chief Executive Officer, Verve; Jonathan E. Adams, Chief Digital Officer, Americas, for Maxus Global Media; Sheila Buckley, SVP, Sales, Business Insider; and Tim McHale, Chief Media Officer, Madison Avenue Consulting.

Nada Stirratt, Chief Executive Officer of Verve: Leveraging two decades of global experience across digital, data and technology, Nada is leading Verve to the forefront of the location-powered mobile marketing landscape, transforming how advertisers connect with consumers to deliver successful business outcomes. In 2015, Nada was named one of Business Insider's 30 most powerful women in mobile advertising. Prior to Verve, Nada held a number of senior leadership positions at MySpace, Viacom, Advertising.com, AOL and most recently as chief revenue officer at Acxiom. She serves on the board of Blue Star Families, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping military families.

Jonathan E. Adams, Chief Digital Officer, Americas, for Maxus Global Media (a unit of GroupM & WPP): In his role, Jonathan architects the digital direction for the company and its many clients, as well as oversees the company's digital team and fully integrated digital media offering. With over 2500 team members in 55 countries, Maxus is still a young and agile organization, born in the digital age. Maxus clients include NBC Universal (News - Alert), Church & Dwight, Pandora Jewelry, Barclay's and Panera Bread.

Jonathan is recognized as an industry leader having served as Chairman of the AAAA Digital Marketing Committee, as well as honored by Advertising Age, Media Magazine ad the University of Florida (2013 "Alumnus of Distinction"). Over his 25 year career in media, Jonathan also has held senior digital roles at iCrossing, Digitas (News - Alert), and OgilvyOne. He's managed a wide variety of clients including: DIRECTV, LEGO, Delta Air Lines, Post Foods, Equifax, Mead Johnson Nutrition, Kraft Foods, Bristol-Myers Squibb, IBM (News - Alert) and Kimberly-Clark.



Sheila Buckley, SVP, Sales, Business Insider: Sheila brings more than 25 years of experience in digital, ad tech and linear advertising sales and marketing to Business Insider, where she heads sales and is responsible for driving continued business growth in the United States across Business Insider, Tech Insider, Insider and Markets Insider

Sheila came to Business Insider from Criteo, the ad tech retargeting platform where she led their U.S. team to record growth after they went public in 2014. Prior to Criteo, Sheila served as Global Chief Revenue Officer at Vibrant Media. In that role, she led a 100+ person organization across digital and mobile ad sales and marketing, successfully launching five new products in 15 months into the marketplace.


Previous to Vibrant Media, Sheila was SVP Digital, Mobile and Cross-Platform Ad Sales at The Weather Channel. Earlier in her career, Sheila held a range of high-level positions at Time Warner (News - Alert), including Associate Publisher and Publisher of Sports Illustrated and Sports Illustrated for Kids.

Tim McHale, Chief Media Officer, Madison Avenue Consulting: The firm is a full-service growth hacking-based consultancy. Tim delivers deep knowledge and relationships in the global agency and brand communities; specializing in leveraging all media, including digital, mobile, social and event marketing.
