Code42 Opens Office in Denver Area to Tap into Growing High Tech Talent Pool

Code42, the leader in endpoint data security and recovery, today announced the opening of a new office in Broomfield, Colorado, to tap into the Denver area's growing reputation as a technology hub and center for a highly skilled workforce. The goal of the new office is to hire the best talent and continue the company's quest to deliver ongoing innovation to its rapidly growing list of enterprise customers.

"The need for enterprise scale data protection is exploding," said Joe Payne, president and CEO of Code42. "In order to keep up with the demands of our industry and customers, Code42 is expanding rapidly. We have hired more than 200 people this year and currently have more than 50 open positions. Code42 is brimming with talented people in Minneapolis, but in order to ensure that we have a deep talent pool to choose from, we are opening up offices around the world. We're particularly excited about our presence in the Denver area because the community is so rich with software expertise and technical talent."

In recent years, Broomfield, Boulder and Denver have been ranked by Business Insider as some of the hottest startup cities in the U.S. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Colorado is one of the most popular relocation destinations in the United States for skilled workers. The company already has several Denver-based customers, including the University of Colorado and Ping Identity.

"There's been a steady migration of individuals and companies to the Denver area, so it's no surprise that there is an extremely impressive talent pool," said John Durant, senior vice president of product development at Code42. "We're looking to hire people for our product development team to improve our offerings and better serve our customers. Code42 is committed to helping employees grow and providing a work environment that both challenges them and excites them about what is ahead."

The Broomfield office currently has open positions in product development, cloud operations, product management and engineering, and finance. Additionally, three key executives are based in the Denver area. Jim Russo, vice president of engineering, leads development teams in Colorado in collaboration with his counterpart, Jeff Sonsalla, who leads engineering in Minneapolis. David Huberman, who is a 16-year resident of Colorado with more than two decades of high-tech industry experience, joined the company as general counsel in June. Tim Connor, who has more than 30 years of experience and who lives in the Denver/Boulder area, continues to serve as chief financial officer.

The Colorado office is one of three Code42 expansions in the U.S., having recently opened an office in the San Francisco Bay Area and having announced plans to move into a new, expanded headquarters in Minneapolis in January 2017. The company also recently grew its footprint in Europe with new key hires in London and Munich.
